Driving Hope for Laquiechia & Family
A year ago, we connected with Laquiechia, an incredibly strong mother who was facing a series of tough challenges. Her car troubles were piling up, and the repairs were well beyond her budget. This left her without reliable transportation, which was a real struggle as she cared for her three kids, one of whom has a serious illness, and navigated unemployment.
Enter Carissa, our rockstar resource coordinator. With unwavering determination, Carissa left no stone unturned to help Laquiechia out. After a year of persistent effort, Carissa’s hard work paid off in a big way. She managed to team up with 1-800-Charity Cars, who generously donated a 2021 Jeep Cherokee.
As the Jeep rolled in, you could feel Laquiechia’s excitement building. And beyond the practical benefits, this newfound mobility opens doors for her to join us at B2g events and access vital resources like the Gayton Food Pantry.
What’s truly special about this story is that it’s a testament to supporters like you. Your generosity isn’t just a financial contribution; it’s the steady support that keeps us going. It empowers us to be there for families like Laquiechia’s – sometimes in big ways, like a new car, but often in those everyday moments that make life a bit easier.

The Halloween Hustle 5K offers a thrilling challenge for runners of all levels, while the Hocus Pocus Kids Run welcomes our young magical enthusiasts to embark on a fun-filled half-mile adventure. You’re guaranteed a scary good time running, walking or strolling through scenic West Creek Parkway.
But that’s not all – the Call Federal Race Festival is set to amp up the excitement with a costume contest, spine-tingling games, and allergy-friendly trick-or-treating! So, why not gather your “boo” crew and rally together for a fantastic cause?
