Better2gether supports and equips families of children with medical complexity with tools to care for their child and creates community among like families.
Complex Care Clinic
The Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU Complex Care Clinic is designed to support families facing complex medical needs. We’re proud to partner with them to provide resources and programming focused on family wellbeing.
Our Story
Since 2017, Better2gether RVA has provided mentorship, counsel, and recreational programming for families of children diagnosed with complex medical illnesses, plus valuable resources for managing treatment and its associated costs. As we grow, new programs are being added, and more families are gaining access to previously non-existent support every day.
Family Resources
Caring for an ill child can be a devastating and difficult journey. We provide tools and resources to help families get the support they need so they can focus on what’s important–their child’s health and happiness.

Your donation can benefit a child with a medically complex illness! We accept a wide range of donations- from goody bag supplies to a wish list for the Complex Care Clinic.

Halloween Hustle 5k
Lace-up your running shoes for the annual Hustle 5K, held each October, and enjoy a family-friendly event perfect for runners, walkers, wheelchairs and strollers of all ages.

Complex Care Clinic
Together, the CHoR Complex Care Clinic and Better2gether are building a brighter, healthier future for children with complex medical illnesses and their families. Better2gether provides snacks, water/milk, and engagement tools such as iPads and fidget toys, reducing stress and tension for the whole family. In partnership with Read to Them, we also supply books for children to take home, breaking down barriers to access for those who might not have books at home.
